Micronutrient Testing reflects your dietary intake and the utilization of these nutrients by your body. Deficiencies can affect potentials for health conditions, disease, illness and quality of life. Functional deficiencies are measured at a cellular level, assessing how well your body is utilizing 31 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants and metabolites. These micronutrients help in the production of enzymes, hormones and other substances essential for proper growth, development and good health. Deficiencies maybe the result of:

  • Biochemical individuality
  • Poor absorption
  • Chronic disease
  • Aging requirements
  • Lifestyle habits
  • Some prescription drugs

Nutrigenetic Testing analyzes your DNA from your saliva sample. It consists of 70 genetic markers, developed by world-renowned researchers and based on scientific evidence. Your genes can affect your body’s response to food, beverages and supplements you consume. Individualized recommendations can be given related to:

  • Weight management
  • Body composition
  • Nutrient metabolism
  • Cardiometabolic health
  • Food tolerances
  • Eating habits
  • Fitness performance
  • Injury risk

Telomere Testing measures telomere length and is a way to assess biological age and a helpful biomarker of overall health. Telomeres are sections of DNA at the end of each chromosome that serve as a protective cap for your genetic material. These become shorter when cells divide, and once the telomere is gone the cell dies. Cellular death causes the body to age. The longer your telomeres, the younger your biological age. The rate at which telomeres shorten is accelerated by inflammation, oxidative stress, nutritional deficiencies, obesity, and other lifestyle habits.

Dietary Antigen Tests look at the response of the body to 88 commonly eaten and reactive foods. The test looks at food allergies and food sensitivities. Allergies can be life-threatening reactions. Sensitivities are milder reactions such as diarrhea, gas, bloating, constipation, fatigue, reflux, poor sleep, headaches, skin conditions, joint pain, and poor absorption of nutrients. Sensitivities also create inflammation that drives many pathologies and prevents improvement.

Advanced Intestinal Barrier Assessment gives a broad picture of the condition of the gut. It provides a picture of your intestinal health and gives direct markers of gut permeability. Leaky gut is a term used to describe unhealthy and weak lining of the intestine. When the gut barrier is weakened, a person is more vulnerable to food antigens, toxins, and unfriendly microbes. A leaky gut tears down the body’s defenses and opens up the system to increased inflammation.

Advanced Oxidative Stress Test gives an overall picture of cell health and the risk of oxidative stress related health conditions. Oxidative stress is an imbalance between free radical activity and antioxidant activity. Free radicals can be in the air, water, food, and medicine we take.

Advanced Adrenal Stress Test evaluates how well the adrenal glands are functioning and the potential causes of fatigue and inflammation. Robust adrenal function is necessary for energy, circadian rhythms and a healthy stress response. Adrenal Fatigue can drag down your hormone levels and damage your immune system.

There will be a draw fee for the Micronutrient Test and the Telomere Test at the time of the blood draw. Please contact us for pricing information, additional information or questions you may have about the lab tests.
